Legacy Society member Gaby Brill: "When people ask me why I am involved with TAU I explain to them that Israel and the University are a part of who I am. We are linked and I am so happy to be a part of something that is exciting and wonderful. My first gift (to AFTAU) was to the music school. That is my background and when I met the head of the music school, I was so impressed with him and his vision for the music department at TAU that I wanted to help make a difference and be a part of something so important."

Legacy Society member Dr. David Furth: "I started giving over 10 years ago because of the project to build the first true natural history museum in Israel, in fact in the Middle East. I have spent many years in my profession (field biologist) in Israel, including conducting the fieldwork for my Cornell Ph.D. on a Fulbright Fellowship at TAU with several Zoology faculty, and as an assistant for Prof. Amotz Zahavi at the Nature Protection Institute (TAU), as well as several associations at TAU. Therefore, I wanted to help preserve and provide a place to study this part of Israel's national heritage. This dream of many scientists in Israel and in the Diaspora has finally come to fruition thanks to the amazing energy of Prof. Tamar Dayan in the form of the Steinhardt Museum of Natural History, Israel National Center for Biodiversity Studies."
